Tribute to Tin Tan

The documentary Viva Tin Tan, directed by Montok, tells the story behind the compilation of the CD for Sony/BMG Music Entertainment Mexico.

Actor Germán Valdés Tin Tan, famous with his Zoot Suit and a language which intermixed English and Spanish, made history with his ironic and picturesque dialogues. Tin Tan was more than an actor, he sang and danced and lent his voice to Spanish version of animated films such as Balou in The Jungle Book and O’malley the cat in the Aristocats.

Programmed as part of this homage is the outodoors screening on Saturday 8th of one of his most popular films: EL REY DEL BARRIO. Earlier that same day, will take place the opening of a special photographic exhibit at the local Galeria Chapultepec, with his family in attendance.

Also scheduled, on Wednesday 12th, Emilio Riera’s book Las películas de Tin Tan will be presented by José María Pérez Gay and the Spanish film critic and former director of San Sebastian’s Film Fest, Diego Galán.
