In this quirky, fascinating documentary we meet expats who gave up their fast-paced lives and their successful careers to live in a country where crowded malls and Blackberrys have been replaced by books, art, and casual conversations in the local square.

CAREN CROSS
Es cineasta por primera vez, quien, tras una semana de vacaciones en San Miguel de Allende, una pequeña ciudad en las montañas del centro de México, cerró su práctica en psiquiatría, abandonó todo aquello por lo que había estado trabajando, y de manera impulsiva se mudó a México. Siete años más tarde, fascinada por los cambios monumentales que sintió, y buscando entender lo que le había sucedido, se embarcó en el viaje de hacer un documental. Cross vive en San Miguel de Allende con su esposo. Ambos tienen dos hijos.

Is a first-time filmmaker who, following a one week vacation to San Miguel de Allende, a small town in the mountains of central Mexico, closed up her psychotherapy practice, dropped all that she had always been working towards, and impulsively moved to Mexico. Seven years later, fascinated by the monumental changes she felt, and waiting to understand what was happening to her, she embarked on the journey of making a documentary film. Cross lives in San Miguel de Allende with her husband. They have two grown children.
