Por un fraude millonario, un hombre es condenado a arresto domiciliario y el único lugar donde puede cumplir su condena es en la casa de su madre, afectada de Alzheimer. La llegada del hombre trastorna la vida de los que viven con la anciana. Con vueltas de tuerca, la historia remite a lo dramático y contiene cierta dosis de ironía. Habla de las relaciones humanas interfamiliares con ausencia total de violencia.

Because of a millionaire fraud, a man is condemned to house arrest, and the only place where he can serve sentence is his mother’s house, affected with Alzheimer disease. The arrival of the man disrupts the life of the people who live with the elder woman. With turns of the screw, the story feels dramatic, but it also contains certain amount of irony. It talks about human and family relations with a total absence of violence.

GABRIEL RETES
Gabriel Retes empieza a actuar a la edad de 12 años en obras de teatro dirigidas por su padre. Posteriormente empieza a dirigir, producir y actuar en proyectos propios. En el año sesenta y nueve es invitado por Alejandro Galindo para actuar en la película Cristo 70. A partir de ese momento se enamora del quehacer cinematográfico. Filma varios cortos y su primer largometraje en Super 8, Los años duros. En 1975 filma su primer largo para la industria, Chin Chin el Teporocho, el cual es un éxito de taquilla y crítica. Es fundador de las cooperativas cinematográficas en México. La gran mayoría de sus películas han participado y ganado más de cuarenta premios en Festivales Internacionales. Sus filmes El Bulto y Bienvenido Welcome están dentro de las cien mejores películas mexicanas.

Gabriel Retes started acting at age 12 in theatre plays directed by his father. Later he started directing, producing and acting his own projects. By 1969 he was invited by Alejandro Galindo to act on the film Cristo 70. From that moment on, he fell in love with cinematography. He made some short films and his first feature film on super 8, Los años duros. In 1975 he shot his first feature film for the industry, Chin Chin el Teporocho, which was a success in the box-office along with the critics. He is a founder of the cinematographic co-ops in México. The broad majority of his films have participated in the most important international film festivals and he has won over forty awards. His feature films El Bulto and Bienvenido Welcome are considered two of the 100 best Mexican films of all times.
