Trata sobre la difícil vida en un campo de refugiados de guerra de la República Árabe Saharaui Democrática, ubicado en el terreno más inhóspito del mítico desierto del Sahara. El tema es planteado desde el punto de vista de los niños refugiados, que a través de sus dibujos nos revelan parte de su vida y su historia, de sus sueños e ilusiones. Todo transcurre en un lugar conocido como «la nada».

It’s about the difficult life in a refugee camp from the Saharan Arab Democratic Republic war, located in the most inhospitable terrain of the mythical Saharan desert. The subject is put forth from the refugee children’s point of view, who through their drawings reveal us part of their life and history, their dreams and illusions. Everything takes places in a place known as The Nothingness.

LUIS MARIANO BOUCHOT (Pachuca, Hidalgo, 1978)
Inicia su carrera cinematográfica en 1997 como asistente de producción para la compañía Springall Pictures, en el filme Santitos. También participa como gerente de producción en otros largometrajes. Estudia guión con Tomás Pérez Turrent y cine-fotografía en la Escuela Internacional de Cine y T.V. de Cuba. Produce seis cortos, entre ellos, Irene (2001), y escribe y dirige cuatro más.

Starts his film career in 1997 as production assistant for the production company Springall Pictures, for the filming of Santitos. He also participated as Production Manager in other feature films. He studied scriptwriting with Tomás Pérez Turrent and film photography at the Escuela Internacional de Cine y T.V. in Cuba. He has produced six short films; Irene (2001) among them and writes and directs four more.
