Pedro and Esteban are two speleologists that arrive at a mountainous area to study a recently discovered cave and determine whether it is of scientific interest. They are accompanied by Gabi, Esteban’s girlfriend, who waits for them at the foot of the mountain. But when the speleologists come out of the cave they find that Gabi is terrified…

JORGE SÁNCHEZ-CABEZUDO. Guionista y director del cortometraje La gotera (1996), nominado al Mejor Cortometraje de Ficción en los XI Premios Goya (1997), ha participado en la Sección Oficial de más de treinta festivales nacionales e internacionales como Sitges, Toronto, Londres, o el de Cine Fantástico de Bruselas, donde ha cosechado cinco importantes premios. También es realizador y actor del premiado corto Mustek (1996), y guionista de la serie de televisión Al salir de clase (1999-2001). La noche de los girasoles es su primer largometraje.

Nominated for Best Fiction – Shorts at the XI Goya Awards (1997), it has participated in the Official Section of over thirty domestic and international festivals such as Sitges, Hamptons (New York), Tampere, Toronto, London, Comicità (Rome), Geneva, Alcala de Henares, Huesca, l’Alternativa in Barcelona, Experimental Films in Madrid, Fantastic Cinema in Brussels, and Houston where it has won five important awards.
Writer, director and actor in the 35 mm short feature Mustek that was also chosen for several domestic and international festivals between 1997 and 1998 (Charleston, Houston, Madrid, etc.) where it received four awards.
Scriptwriter of the Boca Boca series for Telecinco, Al Salir de Clase (1999-2001).
LA NOCHE DE LOS GIRASOLES, which he also wrote, is his first feature film as a director.
