Dice la leyenda que una vez existieron cinco campeones mundiales de box en una misma época, en una misma ciudad en la Península de Yucatán. Los llamaban «Los últimos guerreros mayas». Una historia de coraje, amor, fortuna y muchos golpes.
Legend says that once there were 5 world boxing champions, living in the same time, in the same city of the Yucatan Peninsula. They were called «The last Mayan Warriors». A story of courage, love, fortune and many blows.

Egresado del CUEC, sus cortometrajes han competido en festivales nacionales e internacionales. Con el corto documental El charro misterioso obtuvo menciones especiales del Jurado del Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia y del Certamen Documental José Rovirosa. Su cortometraje Cascabel Soccer formó parte de la selección de cortometrajes para el Programa Artístico y Cultural de la Copa Mundial FIFA 2006. Su tesis de ficción La Caja de Yamasaki obtuvo el premio del Mejor Cortometraje en el Festival de Cine de Morelia de 2007. Los últimos héroes de la Península contó con el apoyo del Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos de la UNAM y del Morelia Lab 2006.
CUEC alumnus, his short films have competed in national and international festivals, exploring both fiction as well as documentaries. He obtained special jury commendation at the Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia and the Certamen Documental José Rovirosa and competed at the Rotterdam International Film Festival with his documentary short El Charro Misterioso. His short film, Cascabel Soccer was part of a groups of short films selected for the Artistic and Cultural Program at the 2006 FIFA World Soccer Cup. He was also selected for the Talent Campus #3 at the Berlinale 2005. His thesis work, La Caja de Yamasaki, obtained Best Short Film Prize at the 2007 Festival de Cine de Morelia. He co-edited the film Párpados Azules by Ernesto Contreras, film selected at the official selection for the Critic’s Week at the Cannes Film Festival. Los Últimos Héroes de la Península is his first feature film produced by the CUEC and UNAM under their Óperas Primas program, and during the 2006 Morelia Lab he obtained backing for the project’s development. Currently J.M. Cravioto is developing his first fiction feature film.
