A los 16 años de edad Héctor Salgado fue arrestado y torturado por la Armada de Chile durante la dictadura de Pinochet. A los veinte años Héctor se encontró sin país, viviendo exiliado en los Eestados Unidos, en la misma nación, que con su arrasadora política exterior, había causado la tortura y muerte de miles de chilenos. Este documental sigue a Héctor volviendo a Chile casi treinta años después, cámara en mano, para enfrentar a los responsables y a sus antiguos carceleros, exigiéndoles, en nombre de la justicia humana, explicaciones por sus actos.

At 16, Hector Salgado was arrested and tortured by Pinochet’s forces. By 20, Hector was without a country, living in exile in the US, the very place whose devastating foreign policies in Chile caused the death and torture of 1,000s of Chileans. The documentary follows Hector as he returns to Chile almost 30 years later, camera in hand, to confront the perpetrators and his former captors looking for answers and justice.

MARIANE TELEKI.
Creció en el área de la Bahía de San Francisco, en México y Brasil. Trabajó como productora para la Televisión nacional de Chile. Circunstancias especiales recibió financiamiento de la Latino Public Broadcasting, Pacific Pioneer Fund y Fleishhacker Foundation. También trabajó como asistente de producción de Carlos Bolado, Mike Pryfogle y Stephen Most en The Klamath River. Es miembro de la Asociación Bay Area Women en Cine y Televisión y la Coalisión de Video de la Bahía.

Director/Producer, was raised in the Bay Area, Mexico and Brazil. Marianne worked as a field producer for Television Nacional de Chile. Special Circumstances, Marianne’s directorial debut, received funding from Latino Public Broadcasting in 2004 and 2005. Her project has also received funding from the Pacific Pioneer Fund and Fleishhacker Foundation among others and is being produced in association with the Katahdin Foundation. She has also worked as a production assistant with Carlos Bolado, Mike Pryfogle and Stephen Most on The Klamath River and Finn Taylor on Cherish. She is a member of Bay Area Women in Film and Television (BAWIFT), Film Arts (FAF) and the Bay Area Video Coalition (BAVC).
