Tomás es un diabético que observa un accidente en el que una mujer es atropellada. Al tratar de asistirla, se percata de la presencia de Iván, hijo pequeño de la accidentada. La mujer muere y, sin querer, Tomás se embarca en un viaje en la búsqueda del padre de Iván.

Tomas, a man who has diabetes, witnesses an accident in which a car runs over a woman and then when he tries to help her, he realizes about the presence of a child, Ivan, the woman´s son. The woman dies, and without expecting, Tomas becomes involved in a trip searching for Ivan´s father.

MIGUEL SALGADO, Ciudad de México 1977. Licenciado en Comunicación por la Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Campus Xochimilco con el documental “El rostro de la multitud”. Actualmente cursa el cuarto año de la especialidad en realización en el Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica en la Ciudad de México. “Tiempo de partir” es su ejercicio de ficción de tercer año.

Miguel Salgado was born in Mexico City in 1977, he got his Social Communication Master’s Degree by the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (Metropolitan Autonomous University) with the documentary “El rostro de la multitud” (“The crowd’s face”).
He is currently studying the 4th year of Film Direction at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (Cinematographic Capacitation Center) in México City.
