Copeland pasó de 1978-1984 grabando compulsivamente en Super 8 toda la carrera de The Police. Durante esos seis años, el trío anglo-americano de Stewart Copeland, Andy Summers y Sting pasaría de ser una avispada banda a uno de los grupos de rock más importantes y multitudinarios del mundo. Everyone Stares: The Police Inside Out consists primarily of home movie footage shot by the band’s drummer, Stewart Copeland, throughout their short but influential career. This compilation of that footage includes images of the group in the studio, on tour, and performing in venues of various sizes. The program also reveals some of the interpersonal tensions that led to the band’s demise.

STEWART COPELAND (Alexandria, Egypt, 1952)
Hijo de un oficial de la CIA que creció en diversos lugares del Medio Oriente. Después de la universidad en Estados Unidos, Copeland se mudó a Inglaterra a iniciar su carrera como músico. Pasó muchos años tocando con la banda de rock progresivo Curved Air, antes de caer en el boom inglés de la escena New Wave en 1977, al formar el grupo The Police con el bajista Gordon Sumner (mejor conocido como Sting).

He was the son of an American CIA officer who grew up in a variety of locations in the Middle East. After attending college in the United States, Copeland moved to England and began pursuing a career as a musician. Copeland spent several years playing with the progressive rock band Curved Air before dipping his toes into the U.K.’s booming New Wave scene in 1977 by forming the Police with bassist Gordon Sumner (better known by his stage name, Sting).
