CARLOS SORÍN (Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1944)
Estudió cine en la Universidad de La Plata y se inició como asistente de Alberto Fischerman en el cine publicitario. A partir de 1968 hasta 1972 se vinculó al movimiento underground del cine argentino, dirigiendo la iluminación de varios filmes inéditos. Entre 1973 y 1976 trabajó en Colombia y en Ecuador. LA PELÍCULA DEL REY, su ópera prima, es un excelente ejemplo del cine dentro del cine.
Studied cinema at the la Universidad de La Plata and started as assistant to Alberto Fischerman in advertising cinema. From 1968 thru 1972 linked with the Argentinean film undergound directing the illumination of several inedited films. Between 1973 and 1976 he worked in Colombia and Ecuador. LA PELÍCULA DEL REY, his first feature film is an excellent example of film within film.
