La violencia contra las mujeres ya no es un secreto: los policías, guardias y médicos legistas verifican estos hechos, de ésta manera se rinde cuentas de manera pública. Mientras que los perpetradores de la violencia son esencialmente hombres son las víctimas, sus mujeres, sus esposas, sus hijas las que frecuentemente son repudiadas en su familia u observadas en sus lugares de trabajo, incluso el acoso sexual en las empresas las hace objeto de nuevas intimidaciones que necesitan ser erradicadas, por esta razón se han propuesto iniciativas para la protección de la mujer en el trabajo y son los sindicatos los primeros responsables en defender a sus mujeres.

Violence against women is not a tabú anymore: police and legal doctors verify these acts, this way the penalty is given as social punishment. As the perpetrators of violence are mainly men, the victims, their women, wives, daughters, are the ones that are often excluded in their families or observed in their work places; even sexual harassment in the office makes them object of new hostility that has to be eradicated. This is why there are initiatives for women protection and the Unions are the groups who take care of their women.

SID ALI MAZIF.
Nació en Argelia y trabajó a los 20 años como asistente de Marc Sator antes de iniciar cursos en el I’INC (Instituto Nacional de Cine de Argelia) en Ben Aknoun de 1964 a 1966. Su primer largometraje Sueur noire / al-‘Araq al-Aswad (1972), relata la toma de conciencia política de un joven argelino. Mas militante Les nomades (1975), exploraba la importancia de las granjas colectivas para los campesinos argelinos.. Leì1a y los otros/ Laila wa akhawatuha (1978), fue coproducido por el I’INIC, trata sobre las dificultades cotidianas y el lugar de la mujer en la sociedad argelina.

He was born in Argelia and worked when he was 20 as Marc Sator assistant before going to I’INC (Argelia National Film Institute) in Ben Aknoun from 1964 to 1966. His first feature film Sueur noire / al-‘Araq al-Aswad (1972), tells the story about political conciseness in a young Argelian man. In Les nomades (1975), was discovering the importance of colective farms for Argelian farmers. Leì1a and the others/ Laila wa akhawatuha (1978), was co- produced by the I’INIC and is about day by day challenges and the place of women in Argelian society.
