Documental estructurado de los registros personales del diario del director Glauber Rocha en la ciudad portuguesa de Sintra, donde vivió con su esposa Paula Gaitán y sus dos hijos Eric y Ava, en 1981, antes de su muerte. Incluyendo las últimas tomas de Glauber, la película es un ensayo dedicado a rescatar a ese hombre con el fin de superar la leyenda. La relevancia de éste tema radica en el hecho de que los diálogos de Glauber confirman irremediablemente su contemporaneidad.

Feature documentary structured from the personal registers of the diary of movie director Glauber Rocha in the Portuguese city of Sintra, where he lived with his wife Paula Gaitán and their two children Eryk and Ava, in 1981, before his death. Including the last unreleased footage of Glauber alive, the film is a delicate essay that rescues the man, in order to surpass the myth. The relevance of this subject lays on the fact that Glauber’s speeches irremediably confirm his contemporaneity.

PAULA GAITAN. Nació en 1954, además de ser directora, también es artista visual. Actualmente es socia en la compañía productora Aruac Films y también es maestra de cine y video en la Escuela de Artes Visuales de Park Laje, en Rio de Janeiro. Seleccionada para la 9th Bahia Hall of Arts, también ha exhibido su trabajo en el Museo Malba en Buenos Aires, en Rio de Janeiro y en São Paulo. Su largometraje Uaká (1988), filmado en el Xingu, fue premiado en Amiens, San Francisco y Brasilia.

Born in 1954. Besides directing films, she is also a visual artist. Currently, she is partner of production company Aruac Films and also a teacher of cinema and video in the Visual Arts School of Park Laje, in Rio de Janeiro. Selected for the 9th Bahia Hall of Arts, she has also exhibited her works at the Malba Museum, Buenos Aires, in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. Her feature film Uaká (1988), shot in the Xingu, was awarded in Amiens, San Francisco and Brasília.
