Batalla de ingenios se basa en una popular serie Manga, Bokko, acerca del periodo de un guerrillero poderoso en China. Un filme épico con un basto escenario y mucha acción. En el año 370 d. C., China estaba separado en siente naciones y muchas otras pequeñas tribus, una de éstas era la ciudad de Liang. La nación de Zhao era comandada por Xiang Yangzhong quien ordena a sus tropas un ataque a Liang con el propósito de conquistar la pequeña ciudad. En la defensa de un pueblo intimidado, sale ‘Ge Li’, un guerrero de la tribu Mo-Tsu, conocido por sus habilidades de defensa. A Battle of Wits is based on a popular Manga series, Bokko, about China’s harrowing warlord period. An epic film with lavish scenery and great action. In 370 B.C, China was separated as seven nations and several other small tribes, one of these being the city state of Liang. The nation of Zhao is led by the terrifying prime commander Xiang Yangzhong who orders his troops to launch an attack on Liang in a bid to conquer the small city. Leaping to the defence of the cowed people of Liang is a warrior who goes by the name of ‘Ge Li’ from the Mo-Tsu tribe, renowned for its defensive skills. He is their last hope as the terrors of Yangzhong’s troops are unleashed. The future of Liang now hangs in the balance, with all their hopes pinned on the mysterious Mo-Tsu warrior Ge Li.

Es uno de los más aclamados realizadores en el cine de Hong Kong. Es conocido por no comprometer su obra sólo para entrar al mercado. Se graduó del Artist Training Center de Hong Kong Televisión Broadcasts Limited (HKTVB). Mr. Cheung comenzó su carrera, como gerente de producción. Su debut como director en Lai Shi, China’s Last Eunuch en 1986. Todas sus películas han sido dramas serios o comedias trágicas, dos de las cuales, Beyond the Sunset y Cageman, ganaron el premios en los Hong Kong Film Awards, la primera como mejor película y la segunda al mejor director. Como director y productor, ha disfrutado notablemente buena crítica en el curso de su distinguida carrera.

He is one of the most acclaimed filmmakers in the Hong Kong cinema. He is renowned for refusing to compromise his filmmaking just to cater to the market. He graduated from the Artiste Training Center of Hong Kong Television Broadcasts Limited (HKTVB). Early in his career, Mr. Cheung served as a production manager. He made his directorial debut Lai Shi, China’s Last Eunuch in 1986. All of his films have been serious dramas and tragic-comedies, two of which, Beyond the Sunset and Cageman, won the Best Film Award at the Hong Kong Film Awards, the latter also taking the Best Director Award.As a director and producer, he has enjoyed remarkable critical success over the course of his distinguished career.
