La mujer de un marinero cría, paralelamente, a su propio hijo y al de su marido con otra mujer. Por una cuestión de competencia le hace creer al hombre que el chico del físico fuerte es el suyo y que el débil es hijo de la otra. Siendo ya un muchacho el débil muere en un naufragio y la madre, corroída por la culpa, se suicida.

A woman raised two children: her own and the one her husband- a sailor-has had with another woman. She makes him believe the stronger kid is hers and the weaker one is the other woman´s. When the kids grow up her own son dies in a shipwreck. Vexed by guilt she will commit suicide.

Director de cine argentino cuyas películas más representativas versan sobre la historia argentina: La guerra gaucha (1942) y Su mejor alumno (1944).
