El joven empleado de una empresa de la construcción no tiene dinero ni para celebrar su cumpleaños con unas cervezas. Pide un adelanto al patrón y lo único que consigue es el cadáver de otro empleado muerto en accidente laboral y del que la empresa quiere deshacerse clandestinamente. Con el cadáver en la furgoneta, el joven trata de devolver el muerto a sus familiares.

A young building company employee has no money even to celebrate his birthday with a few beers. Asking his boss for a loan, the only thing he gets is the corpse of another employee dead on the job that the company wants done away with on the quiet. Carrying the body in his van, the youngster tries to return the dead man to his family.

CONRAD CLARK
Estudió Cine en Londres y obtuvo un Master en Antropología por la School of African and Oriental Studies, donde se especializó en cultura china. Tras trabajar como ayudante de la directora de fotografía española Raquel Fernández, dirigió la fotografía del mediometraje de Saleh Karama Time Left (2003) y del largometraje de Rudi Fieldgrass Love Struck (2005). Soul Carriage es su primer largometraje como director y para llevarlo a cabo ha desarrollado una investigación de dos años sobre el terreno en China.

Studied Cinema in London and obtained a Master’s Degree in Anthropology from the School of African and Oriental Studies, where he specialised in Chinese culture. Having worked as an assistant to the Spanish director of photography, Raquel Fernández, he directed the photography for Saleh Karama’s medium-length film Time Left (2003) and for Rudi Fieldgrass’ feature Love Struck (2005). Soul Carriage marks his directorial debut in feature films, to make which he spent two years doing field research in China.
