Ellos esperan volverse ricos con los 50,000 peregrinos que se esperan. Un hombre usa los ahorros familiares convencido de que su idea de construir un baño es la mejor.
The Pope´s impending visit to a small Uruguayan town stimulates a flurry of activity among the poorest residents, who hope to strike it rich by catering to the needs of the 50,000 expected pilgrims. Convinced that his idea is the best, one man uses up his family´s savings to build a paying toilet.

CESAR CHARLONE (Montevideo, Uruguay, 1958)
En 1975 empezó a trabajar como director de fotografía tras graduarse en la Escuela de Cine de Sao Paolo. Ha trabajado con directores como Murillo Salles, Sergio Resende, Roberto Gervitz y Renato Tapajos. A partir de 1997 empezó a dirigir comerciales, videoclips y la serie de televisión Ciudad de hombres, de la que escribió también el guión. En 2001 hizo la fotografía de Cidade de Deus de Fernando Meirelles, por la que recibió varios premios y una nominación al Oscar. En 2003 trabajó con Spike Lee y una vez más con Meirelles en The Constant Gardner.
He worked primarily in Brazil after having studied at the School of Cinema in Sao Paulo. He began working in 1975 as director of photography on documentaries, commercials and feature films for directors such as Murillo Salles, Sergio Resende, Roberto Gervitz and Renato Tapajos. In 1997 he relocated permanently to Brazil and began a career as director of commercials, video clips and several episodes of the TV series City of Men, whose scripts he also wrote. In 2001 he was responsible for the photography in Fernando Meirelles’s City of God, for which he received several awards and an Oscar nomination. In 2003 he worked with Spike Lee and once again with Meirelles on The Constant Gardner.

ENRIQUE FERNÁNDEZ (Melo, Uruguay)
Participó como guionista, asistente de director y camarógrafo en varios cortos y documentales en Uruguay y Alemania, en donde vivió por varios años. En 1997 su guión Otario fue filmado por Diego Arsuaga y participó en varios festivales, entre ellos el de San Sebastián. Fernández enseña guionismo en la Escuela Uruguaya de Cine.
He took part in the making of several short films and documentaries in Uruguay and Germany (where he lived for several years) as a scriptwriter, assistant director and cameraman. In 1997 his script Otario was filmed by Diego Arsuaga and was the official selection at the Festival of San Sebastian. Fernandez teaches scriptwriting at the Uruguayan School of Cinema.
