TELMO ESNAL (Zarautz, España, 1966)
Trabajando en varias películas como ayudante de dirección conoce a Asier Altuna y deciden hacer un cortometraje. Tras pedir infinidad de favores a infinidad de amigos consiguen realizar Txotx. El éxito de este corto alimenta su ego y les hace volver a pedir favores para hacer 40 ezetz. Cansado de pedir favores decide no volver a pedirlos hasta poder hacer un largometraje. En 2005 dirige junto a Altuna Aupa Etxebeste! Tras hacer el largometraje y ver que nada se mueve alrededor, decide volver a pedir favores.

When working as a direction assistant, he met Asier Altuna and they decided to film a short. After asking a great number of favours to a great number of friends they made Txotx. The success of that short stroked their ego, so they continued asking favours to film 40 ezetz. Fed up with asking favours, he decided not to ask more until he had made a feature film. In 2005, he directed Aupa Etxebeste!, together with Altuna. After having shot the feature film, he has realized that nothing has changed, so he has decided to ask favours again.
