GUSTAVO TARETTO .Nací en diciembre de 1965 en Buenos Aires, Argentina. A partir de 1983 realicé distintos talleres de Fotografía. Primero en blanco y negro, después en color. Paralelamente estudié Música. A fines de los 80 realicé algunos talleres de dirección y guión y codirigí 4 cortometrajes que desconozco. En 1993 empecé como Creativo y Director de arte en una agencia de publicidad. Después de casi 14 años llegué a la Dirección General Creativa de Ogilvy Argentina, habiendo ganado premios en los principales festivales del mundo. Entre los que se destaca León de Oro en Cannes 2002. En 1999 me sumo al taller de cine del maestro José Martínez Suárez. Escribo y dirijo 3 cortometrajes no tan cortos que afortunadamente viajan y ganan premios por el mundo. Si bien estoy muy feliz con los tres, la gente esta muy de acuerdo en que Medianeras es el mejor. Lleva ganados mas de 40 premios internacionales, entre ellos el Grand Prix de Clermont Ferrand 2006. Mañana voy a cerrar el online de mi cuarto corto. El primero corto.
Born in Buenos Aires in 1965. In 1983 he started attending different photography workshops, black & white and color. At the same time, he studied music and started to attend to script and direction workshops. in 1993 he started working as a creative in an advertising agency. After 14 years, he reached the executive creative direction in Ogilvy Argentina. He received several awards in festivals arround the world, among others the Gold Lion in 2002. In 1999 he joined the school of the master José Martinez Suarez. Where he wrote and directed 3 short films, LAS INSOLADAS, CIEN PESOS and MEDIANERAS, which has received more than 40 international awards, including the Gran Prix in Clemont Ferrand, 2006. His forth short film HOY NO ESTOY has been premiered in Locarno and received the Leopard of domain for the Best Short Film.
