Guadalajara Construye announces the list of selected projects
For this XXIII edition, the Festival received a total of 12 submissions from Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. Six of them have been selected to participate in Guadalajara Construye.
The selected Mexican projects are: Caja negra, by Ariel Gordon, Crónicas chilangas, by Carlos Enrique Endrele Peña, Madrid-Mexico, by Enrique RenterÃÂa, and Viaje a Tulum, by Eduardo Villanueva Jiménez. From Costa Rica, Tercer mundo, by César Caro Cruz, and the Cuban project Vedado, by Asori Soto and Magdiel Aspillada.
Sponsor Distribution and post-productions companies will award a series of prizes to the best films on progress presented during Guadalajara Construye. 220,000 US dollars in prizes are to be distributed in 2008, thanks to the generous involvement of national and international industries that along with the Festival are committed in supporting films in these regions.
