First Ibero-American films in competition in Guadalajara

cartel2008postmini.jpgThe XXIII edition of Guadalajara International Film Festival is moving on, and several in competition Ibero-American fiction feature films have been confirmed.

Tropa de elite, by José Padilha (Argentina/Brazil); No mires para abajo, by Eliseo Subiela (Argentina); Os desafinados, by Walter Lima (Brazil); and 14 kilómetros, by Gerardo Olivares (Spain).

Last Saturday, the film Tropa de elite received the Golden Bear award at the Berlinale. No mires para abajo and Os desafinados will be released at Guadalajara Festival as world premieres; and 14 kilómetros received the Golden Spike award in the 52nd edition of the Valladolid International Film Festival (Seminci).
