European Film Promotion supports features participating in Guadalajara Film Festival
Among the films included in the Ibero-American fiction feature film section are 14 kilómetros (by Gerardo Olivares) and La otra orilla (by LuÃÂs Filipe Rocha), as well as the documentaries El pollo, el pez y el cangrejo real (by José LuÃÂs López Linares) and Lucio (by Aitor Arregui). These films received the generous aid of Film Sales Support (FSS) granted by European Film Promotion, -an association that promotes European films participating at non-European international film festivals.
For the second time, the FSS has distinguished the Guadalajara International Film Festival along with Sundance, Toronto, and Buenos Aires festivals as an important podium for the promotion of European cinema in the Americas.
The FSS also bolster films included in the Cardinal Points section such as: the German production Am Ende kommen Touristen, by Robert Thalheim; the Greek Diorthosi, by Thanos Anastopoulos; the French Les Fourmis rouges, by Stéphan Carpiux; and The bird can’t fly, by the Dutch filmmaker Threes Anna.
