Press Meetings: Arresto Domiciliario
During the already traditional festival’s Press Meetings, in which directors & crew of the films in competitions gather daily for a round of Q&As, this Sunday Mexican filmmaker, scriptwriter and producer Gabriel Retes presented his film Arresto Domiciliario.
It was an opportunity to not only discuss his film but also to comment on the present situation of Mexican cinema in general. He mentioned that this is a prime time for local film industry with more than 60 films being produced annually. However it is also a difficult moment due to the fact that most exhibitors continue to favour Hollywood productions.
