Standing night for Argentina
On Tuesday 11, Lila Stantic, Fernando Birri, and Fernando Solanas received the tribute from the Guadalajara International Film Festival at a sensational evening in the Teatro Diana.
During the gala, the host Dolores Heredia portrayed the outstanding professional trajectory of these Argentinean filmmakers who are the mainstay Latin American cinema in their countries.
Lupe Ontiveros, Manuel Pérez Estremera, and a group of student of the Escuela de Cine de Santa Fe conferred Silver Mayahuels to Stantic, Birri, and Solanas, who expressed gratitude for the recognition and received applauses from the audience. The gala ended with the screening of the film El asaltante, by Pablo Fendrik.
