From Mambo to Hip Hop , by Henry Chalfant. USA

This specialized festival in its seventh edition will be our guest in the XXIII Edition of Guadalajara International Film Fest with a special programme consisting of a selection of documentaries about music, musicians and related topics.

The curator of this programme will be Joselo, the guitar player for Café Tacvba, a a Grammy Award and Latin Grammy Award-winning Mexican band that became famous for its unique blend of alternative rock and Mexican folk music.

Together with this screenings, the Festival has programmed “La Ultima y nos vamos” (The last one and we are gone), in which every night a local band will perform live for the Festival guests.
