Desierto Adentro. Best Mexican Feature 2008

This section is open to Mexican fiction feature films in 35 mm., NTSC Betacam SP or DV-Cam formats, produced between 2007 and 2008. To be eligible for competition, must not have been previously screened or broadcast in Mexico to open audiences.
Mexican films previously screened or broadcast in the country, may participate but will not compete.

12 Mexican feature films (Mexican Premières only) will be in competition. For the first time, the Ibero-American section prizes awarded will be similar to those in the Mexican section.

• Best Feature Film (distribution prize)
• Best First Feature (distribution prize)
• Best Director (cash prize awarded unconditionally to the film’s Director)
• Best Screenplay (trophy)
• Best Actor (trophy)
• Best Actress (trophy)
• Best Cinematography (trophy)
