Guadalajara Film Market & Producers Network 2008

The Guadalajara Film Market & Producers Network will take place, for the second consecutive year, on March 9-10, 2008, in collaboration with Producers Network and the Marché du Film de Cannes -the most prestigious Film Market in the world- The programme is based on two days Breakfast Meetings -a series of thematic roundtable discussions, gathering together Mexican and international producers.

During these meetings -following the model of Cannes’ Producers Network- each table is ‘hosted’ by a moderator with a specific industry background, who animates the discussion between a guest of honor and a group of high profile producers. Five recognized moderators actively involved in either promotion, distribution, financing, festival programming or international sales will be able to draw upon their own experiences when working with each day’s guest of honor.

This setting provides ideal conditions to share expertise and identify potential producing partners for Ibero-American industry professionals. Some of the topics that will be in the agenda are: copyright, film sales, international festivals strategies, co productions and film financing.

Producers Network is reserved for producers whose main activity is production and who have produced (as producer, coproducer or executive producer) at least one feature film theatrically released within the last 3 years.(Credits as associated producer or line producer won’t be accepted). If you don’t meet this particular requirement, you can also register if you have produced either a minimum of 5 features, 6 documentaries and/or TV series within the last 3 years.

The participation in all Breakfast Meetings – all English language sessions- is strictly for producers registered with the Producers Network.

For the participants of the Guadalajara Film Market & Producers Network, the Industry Badge fee is 750 Mexican Pesos. It allows:

• full access to all industry activities and events
• unlimited registration of films into the video library catalogue
• full access to screening facilities at the Market Sales Office
